Position Summary

The National Account Manager is responsible for the overall development, implementation and management of Spalding inflate, diamond, backboard and accessory strategies at their assigned accounts that enable us to achieve our sales and profitability objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

Works directly with company sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop product, sales, and promotional strategies that meet/exceed sales and profitability expectations for both the company and assigned accounts.

30%

Implements all quarterly and annual product, sales, and promotional strategies for their account via their buying and replenishment teams.

25%

Manages all sales calls and responsibilities for their account and is the primary account contact for all aspects of the business: sales, replenishment, and forecasting, credit, and product information/setup and customer service

Manages as well as provides oversight and guidance to ensure proper management of all quarterly and annual products, sales, promotional and replenishment strategies take place.

Conducts quarterly sales calls with senior management to review the state of the business.

Provides continuous account education to company departments so they are in alignment with their account’s objectives, strategies and requirements that must be met to achieve success with them.

Provides weekly sales updates

Minimum Qualifications

4-year college degree required or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills: specifically, as it relates to effectively managing multiple projects.

Excellent management skills: specifically, as they relate to employees working in distant locations.

Proficient computer skills; specifically in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Must be available to travel periodically to visit accounts at their headquarter locations.

Minimum Job Experience Required

5+ years of experience is sales account management or a related area
