Transportation Management Systems Support the operation and optimization of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and other interconnected systems utilized across transportation. Provide technical expertise while troubleshooting issues, maintaining system integrity, and collaborating with the operations team, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across transportation processes. Assist users in navigating and effectively utilizing the TMS. Address inquiries, provide training, and resolve system-related issues to enhance user proficiency and optimize system performance. Monitor data integrity and accuracy within the TMS and other transportation systems. Collaborate with the operations team and other stakeholders to identify and rectify data discrepancies and anomalies. |
Operations Provide comprehensive transportation solutions and direction for operations, encompassing tasks such as booking shipments with ocean carriers, tendering loads to truck carriers, monitoring and ensuring shipment visibility, as well as assessing operational cost and transit times to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. Efficiently manage transportation logistics by delivering precise routing instructions, ensuring strict routing adherence, promptly and cost-effectively resolving operational challenges, coordinating expedited transit alternatives, orchestrating seamless shipments, soliciting competitive freight quotes, and overseeing the coordination of transportation equipment. Communicate shipment status and provide transportation updates across internal and external stakeholders. |
Data Analytics & Reporting Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of transportation data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Proficiently use data analysis tools, software, and platforms to extract meaningful insights. Create and maintain comprehensive transportation reports and dashboards, presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. Ensure reports provide clear insights for management and operational teams. Collaborate with operational teams to define performance benchmarks and goals based on data-driven insights. |
Continuous Improvement & Projects Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains through data analysis and operational insights. Contribute to the development and implementation of improvement strategies while monitoring the impact of implemented changes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation operations. Engage in special projects as required.
