Position Summary

The Assistant eCommerce Site Manager assists with the execution of merchandising and marketing strategies on our brand.com sites (fruit.com and vanityfairlingerie.com), with specific focus given to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and building a profitable Affiliate program. 

In tandem with the Ecommerce Site Manager, responsibilities include developing and implementing effective SEO and Affiliate programs, building a robust Loyalty program, and partnering with brand Marketing and Brand Communication teams to define priorities and creative content, manage day-to-day placement of creative content, merchandising through best practice digital initiatives, and optimizing site features to improve the consumer experience.  This role collaborates with the Digital Team on the development of site design, UX experience and demand generation strategies to ensure brand.com reinforces and delivers on brand and business objectives.  Key KPIs for this role include site traffic, engagement, conversion rate, sales volume/value and consumer loyalty. 

Specific Responsibilities

 
 

Search Egine Optimization (SEO):  Develop, implement, and manage and SEO content strategy.

Affiliates:  In partnership with Digital Media, develop, implement, and manage an Affiliate program to drive traffic and profitable sales to our brand.com sites.

Site Marketing: Collaborate with the Brand Communications, Marketing and Creative teams to development marketing content for our brand.com sites.  Merchandise the Home Page, product Categories, Marketing pages, and Product pages to align with the marketing strategy in plan on any given day.  Ensure links are accurate and conversion and Average Order Value (AOV) are top of mind when marketing the brand.com sites.  Utilize best-in-class marketing strategies available through SalesForce.  Partner with the Digital team to manage promotional strategies that aid in the achievement of business objectives while reconciling with guidelines provided by the Brand and Financial Teams.  Own the calendaring process for site content and promotions.

Site Merchandising: Assist in driving overall eCommerce business growth via competitive on-site merchandising.  Merchandise the product assortment to best enhance conversion and increase AOV, focusing on best-in-class merchandising techniques including product recommendations, unique offerings, cross-sells, up-sells, bundling, etc. 

Site Operations: Assist with day-to-day site operations related to planning and placement of Marketing and Merchandising site content.

Project Management: Special digital projects, as defined 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field required.
  • Knowledge of web-based content management tools, as well as associated best practices.
  • Strong analytics and project management skills required.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google Analytics a plus; if not Salesforce specifically, other Content Management tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.     
  • Experience with SEO and Affiliate Marketing strategies a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to lead projects where tasks may not be clearly defined; mobilize cross-functional teams and creatively solve problems.
  • Self-starter with excellent communications skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team spirit with ability to forge productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Job Experience Required

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience working on an eCommerce business or eCommerce environment
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce site merchandising
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce site marketing
