Position Summary

AAI/Spalding, a Fruit of the Loom, Inc. company is seeking a results-driven, team player, to join our passionate sales team. 


The Account Manager is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and management of product line strategy execution at their assigned account base which enables us to achieve our division sales and profitability objectives.  The ideal candidate lives in the Southeast US and will travel to/within the following states:  NC, SC, AL, MS, LA, GA, FL.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Works directly with Company sales, marketing and finance teams to develop sales and promotional strategies thatmeet/exceed sales and profitability expectations for both the Company and assigned accounts. 
  • Responsible for handling all sales calls within their assigned territory with customers, end users, and dealers/distributors. Responsible for sales, replenishment, forecasting, credit, product information/setup, and customer service. Sales also includes both account management and new account development.
  • Developing new customers from leads, referrals, prospecting lists, cold calling, and creative market approach
  • Participating in sales planning and execution including but not limited to dealer management, direct sales calls, presentations, networking, data base management and client-based research
  • Attends trade shows, events and partnership meetings in order to promote products and services, as well as new products to the market for assigned categories and brands.
  • Participating in contracted sporting events
  • Collaboration on new product ideas
  • Attends sports events and competitions to assist with product delivery, set up and tear down.
  • Managing travel within the assigned territory

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Availability to travel within territory on regular basis

Minimum Job Experience Required

  • 3+ years of sales experience in sales account management or a related field
  • Previous experience with sports equipment as a collegiate athlete in gymnastics, volleyball, or basketball is preferred
