Position Summary

The Assistant Product Marketing Manager assists with product and marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Sr. Product Marketing Manager to drive business unit growth and profitability.  Assists with project management in partnership with cross-functional teams, collaborates on business and product strategies, manages new product /style setup, assists with pricing, manages creative projects and supports sales needs through marketing materials. 

Specific Responsibilities

Product Portfolio

Collaborate with manager on product development processes and participate in development meetings. Verify processes are completed accurately and timely through the cross functional teams.

·         PLM system management.

·         Manage and develop product specific needs.

Project Management

Manage, in partnership with cross-functional teams, multiple product and marketing projects to a successful and timely execution.

·         Coordinate cross-functional team meetings. 

·         Manage timelines and help execute business plans such as new program launches, product updates, etc.

·         Maintain status report with clear action items and deliverables. Complete necessary follow-up to ensure project is on track.

Management of Creative Projects / Processes:   

Successfully execute creative projects to drive branding and business goals.

·         Initiate creative request for packaging development and any specific retail requests.

·         Manage the creative approval process through completion.

Business Analytics & Reporting:    

Compile metrics in support of goals and strategic imperatives for various initiatives.  Coordinate with cross functional teams to understand product line performance, market/product trends and inventory positions.

Product Planning and Positioning:

Assist and provide point of view on product messaging and appropriate channel and product expansion.

P&L / Budget:

Assist with P&L creation for appropriate business needs and projects (i.e. new styles and programs offerings).

Marketing Research/Competitive Intelligence:

Gather market information and intelligence to report internally to development and sales teams.  Collaborate with team to initiate and execute market research projects where needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, a related field or equivalent years of related work experience
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and interface with various levels of management
  • Ability to work cross functionally to gain insights and input for strategic marketing plans to ensure plans are consistent with market dynamics
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Minimum Job Experience Required

  • 0-2 years of Marketing or related experience (e.g. sales, consumer or product research)
