American Athletic, Inc is a major sports equipment manufacturing company located in Jefferson, Iowa. We are owned by Spalding; a division of Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., & leading international basic apparel company.
We currently have an opening for Carpet Assembly. This position performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce gymnastic, volleyball, basketball, baseball, wall padding and physical education products.
This is a full time, first shift position with excellent benefits.
AAI is the official equipment supplier to USA Gymnastics®, NCAA® Gymnastics Championships, the YMCA® National Championships, the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational, and the Bart Connor Invitational. AAI is also an official supporter of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Our Jefferson, Iowa facility has been in operation and supporting our local community since 1954.
Assemble carpet; measure, apply Velcro, bind, stencil, clean, and prepare for shipment using tools such as carpet knives and scissors.
Prep parts for assembly, including; bolts, clips, screws, glues, or otherwise fastens parts together. Works at different workstations as production needs require. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to effectively view and understand Engineering Drawings and production work instructions. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information on a one on one basis. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide various units of measure.
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
