Position Summary

The Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets is responsible for data entry into various subsystems, reconciling and recording subsystem data to ledger, preparation of schedules for management reporting, distribution of reports, preparation of journal entries including accruals, completion of PP&E roll forward, and cash flow information during month-end close.  Tracking capital spending and preparing and distributing capital spending reports.  Responsible for assigning account codes for capital projects.  Assist with annual capital expenditure and depreciation budget.  Assist with or lead perpetual inventory of fixed assets cycle counts.  Some travel will be required.

Specific Responsibilities

Preparation and recording of journal entries, including accruals; preparation of schedules, coding invoices and assistance to accountants as needed:

·       Entering data to subsystems and reconciling subsystem to ledger

·       Preparation and distributions of schedules for management reporting

·       Perform month-end close processes, prepare account reconciliations, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.

·       Researching and gathering data on book values, cost, invoices, etc.

Completion of PP&E roll forward and cashflow information.

Tracking capital spending, preparing, and distributing capital spending reports.  Assigns account codes for capital projects.  Provide additional ad hoc reports and analyses.

Review and analysis of authorizations for capital expenditures.  Assist with annual capital expenditure & depreciation budget.

Participate in periodic fixed assets inventory, cycle counts and audits at domestic and offshore locations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management strongly preferred, or equivalent years of related work experience.
  • Experience with Oracle Fixed Assets preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office skills required.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical insight.

Minimum Job Experience Required

  • 0 – 2 years General Accounting and/or Fixed Assets
